Every document you need to open a noon seller account in the UAE

The full checklist for noon seller registration, why applications get rejected, which categories need extra approval, and a realistic go-live timeline.

The checklist

A UAE trade licence whose listed activity covers the products you intend to sell. Emirates ID or passport of the authorised signatory. A UAE bank account held in the company name, for payouts. A VAT certificate showing your TRN if you are VAT registered. And for any branded goods, an authorisation letter from the brand owner or from your distributor.

That is the whole list. Most of the confusion around it comes from pages that are really selling you a company formation package rather than answering the question.

The one thing that causes most rejections

Name mismatch. The name on the trade licence, the name on the bank account and the name on the ID have to line up. A licence in a trading company’s name paired with a personal bank account will stop the registration, and the rejection message will not explain that clearly.

Check this before you apply. It costs nothing beforehand and takes weeks to fix afterwards.

Categories that need extra approval

Health products, cosmetics, food and electronics all carry additional approvals in the UAE, and they take longer than general merchandise. If part of your catalogue falls into one of those, start those approvals first rather than leaving them until the general listings are live.

Sellers routinely get the account open, build the catalogue, and then discover the products they actually wanted to sell are the ones still waiting.

Fees you should price in before listing

noon charges a commission per sale that varies by category, fulfilment and shipping charges depending on whether you use its warehouses or ship yourself, and pays out on a cycle rather than instantly.

Work all three into your pricing before the first listing goes up. The most common unpleasant surprise for a new UAE seller is a first payout that is materially smaller than the order value suggested.

A realistic timeline

A clean file — documents consistent, no restricted categories — is usually a week or two from submission to selling. A file with a name mismatch or a missing brand authorisation can sit for a month, and the waiting is not something anyone can accelerate from outside.

Nothing in this process is difficult. It is just unforgiving about paperwork.

noon or Amazon first

It depends on your category, and the honest answer is sometimes neither. In several categories noon has meaningfully less listing competition, which is worth more to a new seller than raw traffic is. In others Amazon is where the buyers already are.

We check both against your actual products before recommending one, and we will say if one is clearly better rather than selling you both.

What we charge

Marketplace setup is AED 599 for one marketplace including five SEO-written listings, or AED 1,499 for Amazon and noon together with ten listings and a Shopify store. noon’s own commission and fulfilment fees are noon’s and are paid by you.
